The Brave Way Home is a discipleship movement of deeply rooted followers of Christ, wayfaring Home together with enduring hope, faith and love.
Mission
The Brave Way Home seeks to surrender our story to call and equip fellow wayfarers to deeper living, eyes fixed on Jesus and hearts set on Heaven.
We partner with churches, organizations, schools, marriages, families & individuals to press into the vision they have for deeper discipleship.
Our heart is to serve and equip you for whatever the journey ahead holds. We hope to surrender our gifts, our passions, and our story to put things in your “spiritual backpack”...tools God can use to help you walk deeper and closer on The Brave Way Home.

®LOOK OUT FOR THE LEFT OUT & Calla’s Legacy
®LOOK OUT FOR THE LEFT OUT started as a Team Woods family culture code, one that highlights the importance of empathy, compassion and kindness for others. Ben and Crystal’s sweet 9-year old daughter, Calla Woods, lived and pronounced this message so beautifully. From starting her own slime shop to provide for vulnerable children in Romania, to being the friend that everyone needs in the classroom, to the faith and strength Calla displayed in facing the unimaginable right up to her rescue to Heaven, Calla’s legacy continues to ripple.
It is a beautiful honor for Ben and Crystal to invite others into Calla’s story and example of kindness and bravery. ®LOOK OUT FOR THE LEFT OUT is a message they share with schools and student organizations through lectures, workshops, individual & group religious counseling and assemblies, addressing topics like anti-bullying and inclusion, and encouraging students to see, feel and meet the needs of others.
Team Woods would love the opportunity to share Calla’s story and ®LOOK OUT FOR THE LEFT OUT with your school or student organization to further foster kindness, inclusion, empathy and compassion for others.
Love Like Calla
Calla Woods has always had a heart to love others, near and far, and to ®LOOK OUT FOR THE LEFT OUT. This passionate, radiant, and joyful 9 year-old started her very own slime shop in the fall of 2018 as a way to support her dreams of serving with Forget Me Not Ministries, an organization that supports, leads, and loves at-risk children in Tinca, Romania.
After her rescue to Heaven in the summer of 2019, Team Woods has continued Calla’s efforts to support the important work being done in Romania by keeping her store open.
100% of all proceeds go to fund “Casa Calla,” a special project by Forget Me Not Ministries in our girl’s honor. “Casa Calla” will be a dedicated space to care and provide for vulnerable teen girls in Tinca, Romania.
To date, over $179,000 has been raised through Calla’s Slime Shop and her great big heart to ®LOOK OUT FOR THE LEFT OUT!

Everything about The Brave Way Home falls under the umbrella of discipleship and a great deal of those one-on-one moments happen in the Team Woods Treehouse. Whether you are at a spiritual, relational, or vocational intersection, every step we take is spiritually formative and the opportunity to lead you deeper and closer to Jesus is a sacred privilege for Ben and Crystal.

Marriage and Family on Mission Workshop
“Marriage is a gift, one designed for God’s glory and our joy, and family is our first ministry. If we are to steward well what has been entrusted to our care, we will embrace the mission and vision God has for our marriage and for our family.”
This 2 hour experience is a concentrated time leaning into the why behind the what of marriage and offering some practical steps on how to run in rhythm together, move forward on mission, and create a family identity and culture. The Marriage and Family on Mission Workshop is customizable; it can stand alone or fit into a larger event or retreat and it can expand to lean in further on building a family identity and culture of discipleship in your home.

Wayfarer Worship Night
Circle up in your backyard or outdoor space for a time of worship and The Word! As wayfarers journeying Homeward together, Wayfarer Worship Nights are one more way we can lock arms and move forward together. You host the event and invite your friends and family to attend and Team Woods and friends will bring the music and teaching to you. We know from Scripture that the culture of Heaven is worship and we believe in the power of singing to our King Jesus and anchoring our songs in truth with the words of the Bible. We would love to bring a Wayfarer Worship Night to your backyard!
Marriage & Family Coaching
Ben and Crystal love getting to work with husbands and wives, moms and dads who could benefit from some coaching for a season. They know firsthand that the journey Home is a mixture of beauty and difficulty and they want to come alongside and encourage you on in whatever terrain you are walking in.
Coaching can look several different ways and Team Woods would love any opportunity to encourage your marriage to move on mission and guide you in creating a family identity and culture code.
Grief & Care Coaching
Scripture teaches that we are comforted to be comforters and Ben and Crystal hope to surrender their own story of loss, grief and pain to point others to the hope and promises that pull them forward. Grief is both unique and universal (Brian Combs), and though there are no experts in grief, there is power in intentionally walking with each other, sharing each other’s burdens and inviting God into that space.
Leadership & Ministry Coaching
Team Woods enjoys coaching, collaborating and consulting with churches, organizations, staff teams, and individuals in pursuit of deeper discipleship.
If you are interested in Ben’s leadership and ministry experience serving you or your team, he would love the opportunity to invest into your leadership. Whether as a one-time or ongoing opportunity, the coaching/consulting experience is customizable and can include topics such as:
